William Cobbett Primary School

Home learning for Year R should involve lots of opportunities for playing and exploring. Find ways to incorporate this in your day; we do not expect the children to be sat engaging in formal learning for very long.

Ideally try to read a little every day, practise the suggested phonics sounds and play Maths games, for example using resources in your Math bags.

Miss Jackson has made lots of suggestions in the first of her home learning letters, see below.

Remember you are still all in Hedgehog or Catkin class and Miss Jackson, Mrs Phillips and Mrs Lowery are still your teachers, you are just learning in a different way at the moment!

Thank you for your support, keep in touch and share your achievements with us.
