William Cobbett Primary School

Coronavirus (Covid-19) closure

All schools in the UK will be closed from Monday 23rd March other than for children of key workers and vulnerable children.

Teachers are setting home learning on a weekly basis. This will be e-mailed to parents and carers on a Friday afternoon and can also be found on the website under 'Curriculum', 'Home Learning'. Teachers can be contacted via e-mail.

Coronavirus (Covid-19) update 23,03.20

School is only open for essential child care for children of key workers where you have no other options, for vulnerable children identified and invited by school and for children with EHCPs. If your child is in one of these categories, we will have contacted you with our arrangements.

The guidance for self-isolation in event of Covid-19 symptoms or exposure to these remains the same for any children attending school:

If your child is ill with a new, continuous cough and/or a high temperature, we ask that you follow the current government stay at home guidance:

https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/covid-19-stay-at-home-guidance/stay-at-home-guidance-for-people-with-confirmed-or-possible-coronavirus-covid-19-infection

We trust parents and carers to make the right decision for their own child and the health of others based on current guidelines.

If a child becomes ill at school with a new cough and/or temperature, you will be asked to collect them and to follow the current advice regarding staying at home.
